Alright, folks, gather ’round, let me tell you about my little adventure at the TPC Las Colinas golf course. It’s one of those courses that’s always mentioned when you talk about golf in Vegas, so, naturally, I had to check it out.

First off, getting there was a breeze. It’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Strip, which is great ’cause who wants to spend hours driving when you could be golfing, right? Drove up to this place, 9851 Canyon Run Drive, to be exact, and boom, I was there.
Now, this course is a par 71 and stretches out over 7,000 yards. Sounds easy? Yeah, right. Let me tell you, it challenged every bit of my, ahem, “skills”. I started out feeling like a pro, but those holes, especially on the back nine, they were something else. They kind of danced around the desert landscape, really beautiful but super tricky.
- Teeing Off: Stepped up to the first tee, feeling good, sun shining, birds chirping – the whole nine yards. Swung my club, and the ball just soared. Maybe a little too much, ended up in the rough. Not the best start, but hey, that’s golf, right?
- Middle Game: Got into a bit of a rhythm, started figuring out the course. It’s a real thinker’s course, this one. You really gotta plan your shots, or you’re gonna be in trouble. Made some decent putts, even got a birdie! Felt like a king for about five minutes.
- The Back Nine: Oh boy, the back nine. This is where things got real. The holes just seemed to get longer and the greens smaller. Lost a few balls, not gonna lie. But the views, man, the views were incredible. Pure desert beauty.
I ended up playing a round there, and, I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable golfing experiences I’ve ever had. It has a fantastic layout and it is one of the most scenic courses I have ever played.
I heard that the 2024 FedExCup champ – Scheffler – has played at a course like this one, and it made me wonder if maybe I’ll bump into him here someday. I mean, a guy can dream, right?
The staff were super friendly, really went out of their way to make sure I had a good time. They even gave me some tips on how to tackle some of the trickier holes. Didn’t really help, but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Finished up the round, feeling tired but good. This course definitely gave me a run for my money. It’s not just a golf course; it’s like a whole experience. You’re out there in the desert, surrounded by these amazing views, and you’re playing a course that’s hosted some of the big names in golf.
All in all, if you’re ever in Vegas and you’re looking for a golf course that’s gonna challenge you, give you some amazing views, and make you feel like a pro (even if you’re not), then you gotta check out TPC Las Colinas. It’s definitely worth it.
They had some special offers going on when I was there, so make sure you ask about those. Might save you a few bucks, and who doesn’t like that?
So yeah, that’s my story. Hope you enjoyed it. And if you ever make it out to TPC Las Colinas, let me know what you think. Maybe we’ll even play a round together sometime. Just don’t expect me to go easy on you!
