Well, this old lady heard somethin’ about that Daytona truck results thing. Big race, lots of noise, them trucks go fast, I tell ya. Lots of folks watchin’, they say it was on that TV thing, somethin’ called FOX Sports 1. Ain’t that somethin’?
They call it the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, fancy name for a bunch of trucks racin’ round and round. This one fella, Grant Enfinger, he won two times in a row! Must be a good driver, that one. He was in the Baptist Health 200, down there in Homestead-Miami Speedway. Sounds hot down there. They say his pit crew, them folks that change the tires and such, they told him what to do, and he listened good. And them other fellas, they ran outta gas! Can you believe it? Ran outta gas in a race!
Then there was another race, the Fresh From Florida 250. Florida, that’s where the oranges grow, right? This was at the Daytona International Speedway. Big track, I reckon. They got these standin’s, shows who’s winnin’ the whole thing. This was just the first race, they say. First race of the whole NASCAR Craftsman Truck thing. They got tags, too, they call ’em. Like, Truck, Truck Results, Daytona International Speedway, Daytona USA 2. I don’t know what that last one means.
Folks was sayin’ you gotta check out the final NASCAR Truck Series at Daytona. Must be a big deal. Someone said it was a couple years ago, somethin’ about February 18, 2022. Some fella named John Hunter Nemechek, he was in the front for a while. Then there was this other guy, Corey Heim, he had a wild night, they said. Somethin’ happened on pit road early on, a snafu, they called it. Sounds like a mess up to me.
Them trucks, they go so fast. I seen ’em on TV once, just a blur of colors. And the noise! Sounds like a bunch of angry bees. But folks sure do love it. They get all excited, cheerin’ and carryin’ on. I guess it’s somethin’ to see, all them trucks racin’ for the win. And they got all kinds of numbers on the trucks, makes my head spin just lookin at em.
Now, if you wanna know more about these Daytona truck results, you best be lookin’ it up on that internet thing. I don’t know much about that, but the young folks, they seem to find everything on there. They say it’s all right there, just gotta type it in. Sounds like magic to me.

I remember one time, back when I was a young gal, we went to the county fair. They had a truck pull there. Wasn’t no fancy racin’ trucks, just regular work trucks, seein’ who could pull the most weight. Was fun to watch, but nothin’ like this NASCAR thing. That’s a whole other level of crazy, I reckon. They even got a special name for it. That Craftsman Truck Series, all about the work them trucks do. They run fast too, probably faster than the trucks at the fair I went to.
These races, they happen all over the place, not just Daytona. But Daytona, that’s the big one, everyone talks about that one. It’s like the Super Bowl of truck racin’, I guess. If you wanna see somethin’ exciting, that’s the place to be, they say. Lots of people there, all yellin’ and cheerin’. Must be somethin’ to see. Maybe one day I’ll get to go, see what all the fuss is about.
They got all kinds of rules and regulations for these races, too. It ain’t just drivin’ around in circles. They gotta follow the rules, or they get in trouble. And the pit crews, they gotta be fast, changin’ them tires and fillin’ up the gas. It’s like a dance, all them folks workin’ together. And if they mess up, well, that can cost the driver the race. So, the truck results, its important for them. They work so hard to get the good place.
So, if you’re interested in them Daytona truck results, or any of them truck races, you just gotta look it up. It’s all out there, somewhere on that internet thing. Just be careful, there’s all kinds of things on there, not all of it good. But for truck racin’, I reckon it’s alright. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll see somethin’ that gets you excited, like all them folks cheerin’ for their favorite truck. Just remember to cover your ears, it gets loud!
Well, this is all I know. That race car things, its not easy. Them drivers are brave. I am too old for that. But you young people, you can go and see, maybe you like it.
