Okay, let’s talk about this Ohio versus Oregon thing. I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter about it online, and decided to dig in and see what’s up.

First, I checked out some betting sites. Seems like Ohio State is the favorite, but not by much. One site had them as a 2.5-point favorite. Not a huge margin, you know?
- I then looked at the history between these two teams.
- Man, Ohio State has really dominated Oregon in the past.
- They’ve got a 9-2 record against them. That’s pretty significant.
After that, I tried to find some predictions. I saw one that said Ohio State 34, and another one that said Oregon 34. So, even the so-called “experts” are kind of split on this one.
So, what did I do? I decided to run my own little test, I found some tools to simulate this game. I spent a whole afternoon, ran the simulation, and input some stats of both teams and so on. Kept tweaking the settings, running it again and again. Each time, I jot down the scores, the key plays, everything.
The Result?
I was surprised, I thought Ohio State would win by a bigger margin. But after running the simulation, it looks like Oregon might actually have a good shot at winning. Now, I’m not saying to bet the farm on Oregon, but it wouldn’t be a total shocker if they pulled off an upset. It’s way closer than what those betting sites are saying. Maybe I should become a sports analyst? LOL.
