Now, these Texans, they’re from Houston. Second team from Houston, mind you. Used to be a team called the Oilers, years ago. They done moved to Tennessee, became the Titans. Like those big fellas in them old stories. Then this fella, Bob McNair, he got this new team for Houston started up, back in ’99, I reckon. Now his son, Cal, is runnin’ the show. Started playin’ in 2002, these Texans did.

This game, it was on a Sunday, October 8th, 2023, 1:00 PM that’s what they say. And those Falcons, they play in Atlanta. Both teams had two wins and two losses, all tied up like a pig at a county fair.

They got these fellas, announcers, talkin’ about the game, tellin’ you what’s goin’ on. One of ’em’s named Brandon Gaudin. He does the play-by-play. Sounds important, don’t it? Just like them folks on the TV tellin’ you what happened on them soap operas.

Now if you missed the game, they got ways to watch it again. Highlights they call ’em. Little snippets of the good parts. Like when you make a quilt, you pick out the prettiest pieces of fabric. They show those parts over and over.

Like a little tiny ticket, livin’ inside your telephone. World’s gone crazy, I tell ya.

And get this – if them Texans win, you can get a free donut! The day after they win. At Kroger, that grocery store. Just gotta show up and celebrate, they say. A free donut for a win, not a bad deal. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, as they say.
