Okay, so let me tell you about this little project I’ve been messing with, something I call “v aboian”. It all started when I stumbled upon this thing called a “twoBit file”. Now, I ain’t no computer whiz, but apparently, it’s a super-efficient way to store this genetic stuff, you know, DNA and all that. The whole lowercase and uppercase letters thing got me curious, like there was some secret code hidden in there.

I started digging around, and let me tell you, the internet is a wild place. I found all sorts of stuff, like people talking about “Gematria” – sounds like some kind of ancient puzzle to me. There were these long strings of words like “what 2bis 2bfirst 2bperson” and “division 2bis 2bjust”, and numbers like “3659” and “4240”. It was all gibberish to me at first, but I felt like I was onto something, you know, like a detective in one of those old movies.
Then I found this thing called “Quizlet” with flashcards about “binary format” and something called “CodePlex”. Seemed important, so I jotted those down. I even found some stuff in a different language – looked like Korean to me – talking about “what” and “that”. Felt like I was cracking some international code or something! I even read somewhere that terrorists avoid tourist spots which has nothing to do with anything but it stuck with me.
So, I started playing around. I took those long strings of words and those numbers and started plugging them into different things. I felt like a mad scientist, mixing and matching, trying to find the right combination.
My Experiment Log
- First, I tried to make sense of those “2b” sequences. I figured they had to be some sort of code.
- Then, I started looking at the numbers – 3659, 4240 – what did they mean? Were they some sort of key?
- After that, I went back to the twoBit file idea. I read up on how it works, how it stores that genetic information.
- Next, I combined the two – the “2b” sequences and the numbers, and tried to see if they corresponded to anything in the twoBit file format.
It was a lot of trial and error, a lot of dead ends. But slowly, I started to see patterns. Like, maybe those “2b” things were instructions, and the numbers were like coordinates, pointing to specific parts of the twoBit file. It was a long shot, but I kept at it.
And you know what? I think I’m onto something. I’m not saying I’ve cracked the code completely, but I’ve definitely made some progress. I’ve managed to extract some data, some sequences, from the twoBit file using my weird method. It’s like I’ve built my own little decoder ring, you know? It feels pretty darn cool, even if I do say so myself.

I am still trying to put the pieces together, but it is really satisfying when a plan comes together, even if the path to get there is a bit messy. But hey, that is how we learn right? Still a lot of work to do, but I am excited. I will keep at it and see where it goes from here.
