So, I’ve been riding bikes for a few years now, and I’ve always been a Honda guy. Recently, I got it into my head that I needed a new ride, and the CTX series caught my eye. It’s supposed to be all about “Comfort, Technology, and Experience” – sounded pretty good to me.
I started by checking out what was available near me. Looked up local Honda dealers and even some private sellers online. I found a bunch of listings for the CTX700 and CTX1300 models. Seems like they made these bikes for a while but don’t anymore. Prices were all over the place, anywhere from like $3,500 to $8,000, depending on the year, condition, and all that jazz.

I ended up going down to the local Honda dealership to see these bikes in person. The salesman showed me around, let me sit on a few, and even take a CTX700 out for a test ride. Man, that bike was smooth! I was initially thinking about getting a street fighter style bike, but the comfort of the CTX really won me over. It handled like a dream out on those winding roads, and it had plenty of pep when I twisted the throttle.

After all the research and the test ride, I made my decision. I pulled the trigger and got myself a CTX700. Now, I’ve only had it for a little while, but so far, so good. It’s been a blast to ride, and I’m already thinking about some trips I want to take on it. I’ll have to keep you all posted on how it goes, but I’m pretty stoked about my new wheels.
