Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with drafting Russell Wilson, just to see how it would all play out. You know, with all the talk about him lately, I figured why not give it a shot myself? So, I fired up my laptop and got started.

First things first, I needed to get into one of those fantasy football websites. I just picked one of the popular ones that everyone uses – you know the type, all those ads and everything. Anyway, I signed in, joined a random league, and waited for the draft to start. It was a standard league, nothing too fancy.
While waiting, I did a little bit of quick research. I pulled up some recent articles about Wilson, checked his stats from last season, and looked at some expert predictions. Just wanted to get a general feel for where he might be ranked and all that. I jotted down a few notes on a piece of paper, you know, nothing too serious. I wanted to see what was the hubbub about this guy.
The draft finally started, and man, it was a bit of a rush! I watched as players flew off the board. I decided to focus on getting some solid running backs and wide receivers first. I figured I could snag Wilson a bit later since he’s been kind of up and down lately. I picked some good players, maybe not the top stars, but good enough, I think.
Waiting for my turn
- Round 1: Got a top-tier running back. Felt pretty good about that.
- Round 2: Snagged a reliable wide receiver. Still on track.
- Round 3: Another wide receiver, this one’s a bit of a gamble but has potential.
Then, I waited. I watched as other quarterbacks got picked. Some of the big names went early, as expected. I started to get a little nervous, not gonna lie. Would Wilson still be there when it was my turn again? I kept checking my notes, thinking about my strategy.
Finally, it was my turn in the later rounds. And there he was, Russell Wilson, still available. I hesitated for a second, then I clicked the button and drafted him. Boom, he was on my team. It felt a bit surreal, to be honest. I mean, it’s just a game, but still, it was pretty cool to snag him.

Feeling after the fact
After the draft ended, I leaned back and looked at my team. I had Wilson as my starting quarterback, and I have to say, I felt pretty good about it. I also grabbed a decent backup QB, just in case. It was a fun little experiment, and it definitely gave me a different perspective on all the hype around him. Only time will tell how he actually performs this season, but for now, I’m happy to have him on my fantasy team.
So yeah, that’s how I ended up drafting Russell Wilson. It was a bit of an impulse thing, but it was fun. I guess we’ll see how it all pans out in the end. Maybe I’ll come back and update this later in the season to let you all know how my team is doing. Who knows, maybe I’ll even win the league, haha!
