Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about how I finally figured out how to get into this “endless mode” in Frostpunk 2. It took me a while, I gotta say. I kept seeing people mention it online, but I just couldn’t seem to find it in the game. I mean, I looked everywhere, all the menus, settings, you name it. Nothing.

First, I finished the story mode. I played it twice just to be sure. Still nothing. Then I tried that “utopia builder” mode, which is kinda like an endless mode already, but not exactly what I was looking for. No toggle in the settings appeared either.

Then, I did some more digging online. It turns out you need a code. Yep, a five-digit code. This code, I found out, only shows up after you hit “ending 20” in the story mode. I was nowhere near 20, so I buckled down and played through the story mode some more.

Finally, after what felt like forever, I reached ending 20. I checked everywhere again, and finally, the code was there: 62131. I quickly went to the setting and selected the option “normal death”.

  • Steps I took:

  • Finished story mode twice.
  • Tried “utopia builder” mode.
  • Searched online and learned about the code.
  • Played story mode until ending 20.
  • Got the code: 62131.
  • Selected “normal death” in settings.

I punched in the code, and boom! The “endless mode” option magically appeared in the settings. I toggled it on, started a new game, and there it was. And guess what? The starter cost limit was raised to 15. That means I could start with way more powerful stuff. It was awesome! There’s even a way to play with only Automatons, but that’s a whole other story that I might get into later.

So yeah, that’s how I finally unlocked endless mode in Frostpunk 2. It was a bit of a pain, but totally worth it in the end.
