Alright, so, I had this idea to do a thing about making a hat like Logan Paul wore in that Japanese forest video. I know, I know, it’s a touchy subject, but hear me out, the point of doing this is to make a parody and express my opinion about it.

First, I searched online for the infamous video itself, just to see what kind of hat he actually wore. I found it pretty easily – tons of articles and stuff about it still floating around. The hat looks like a straw hat, with a black band, a traditional Japanese hat.
Next, I went to a local craft store to see if they had anything similar. Luckily, I found some plain straw hats. I grabbed one of those and some black ribbon. I also picked up some fabric glue, just to be safe.
Back home, I started by measuring and cutting the black ribbon to fit around the base of the hat. Then, I carefully glued it on, making sure it was nice and snug. I used the fabric glue to be extra sure it wouldn’t fall off, or get damaged easily.
- Searched for the video online.
- Went to a craft store for supplies.
- Bought a straw hat, black ribbon, and fabric glue.
- Measured and cut the ribbon.
- Glued the ribbon onto the hat.
Once the glue was dry, I tried it on. It looked pretty spot-on, honestly. I also did some searching on the internet and found some useful information. It seems like people are still debating whether Logan Paul was actually banned from Japan after that whole incident, but I found that he is still allowed to enter the country legally. There was also some talk about a boxer named Dillon Danis, who apparently wore the same kind of hat to mock Logan Paul recently.
I have to say, it was weird looking at the hat, knowing the whole history behind it. Then I filmed a short video of me wearing the hat, just to see how it looked on camera. Honestly, I felt a bit awkward wearing it, especially considering all the controversy that surrounds it.

While I was doing some more research about the hat and the whole situation, I saw that Logan Paul did apologize for the video, but some people thought his apology was kind of half-hearted. It made me wonder if he really understood the impact of what he had done. In the video, he was even wearing traditional Japanese clothing and running around screaming, which a lot of people found disrespectful.
Reflecting on the Experience
After everything was said and done, I took a step back and thought about the whole process. Recreating the hat and learning more about the context surrounding it gave me a different perspective. It’s one thing to read about something online, but actually trying to recreate a part of it, even something as simple as a hat, made it feel more real. It made me think about how important it is to be mindful of other cultures and to take responsibility for our actions, especially when we have a large platform like Logan Paul does. I am glad I finally did this.
I decided not to post the video of me wearing the hat, I will keep it to myself since it is only a parody and express my thoughts. But I’m glad I went through with this whole thing. It was definitely an eye-opening experience, and also a valuable lesson for my followers.
