Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout them Parx leading jockeys. Them horse riders, you know? They go round and round that track, faster than a chicken with its head cut off. I don’t know much about it, but I hear it’s a big deal down there at Parx.

And there is another one, I don’t remember his name. He is from other country. But he is good, too. They say he is the best in the whole wide world!

Then there’s them other ones, trying to catch up. It’s like a big ol’ race, even among the jockeys. They all want to be the best, the top jockey at Parx. They all want to win, get them prizes. It’s always like that. They are young, they want to win.
It ain’t easy, though. You gotta be good to be a Parx leading jockey. You gotta know them horses, know how to ride ’em just right. It’s like dancin’, I guess. You gotta be in step with the horse. Otherwise, you’ll be eatin’ dust!
And them horses! They’re somethin’ else. Big and strong. They run like the wind. You gotta have a good horse to win at Parx, that’s for sure. A good horse and a good jockey. That’s the ticket, I reckon. They said some horses are good, they keep winning. I don’t know their names, but if they keep winning, they must be good! I don’t know their names but they must be good!
I heard them talkin’ ’bout some website, somethin’ called “Equi-base”. They say you can find out all about them Parx jockeys there. And the horses, too. I don’t know nothin’ about computers, though. My eyesight’s not what it used to be. But I guess they have many information about horse racing results on the website!

- Got all the information about them jockeys.
- And them horses, too. I don’t use it but maybe you can.

Me, I just hear about it from folks talkin’. It is just some gossip. I don’t go to the races much. Too much fuss for me. But I know it’s a big deal for some folks. They love them horse races. They love to see who is the best jockey.
These young folks, they get all excited about it. Who’s the top jockey this year, who’s gonna win the next race. It’s all they talk about sometimes. But the results change everyday. You need to keep your eyes on it.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We just had the horses and the riders. And we’d bet a nickel or two. It was simpler then. But I guess the jockey is important. He needs to ride well. He needs to win.
Now, everything’s got numbers and websites. It’s all too much for me. But I guess that’s how it is these days. Everything is on computer. Young people love computer. They can find many things on it.
But one thing’s for sure, them Parx leading jockeys, they’re workin’ hard. They are riding hard. They are earning their money. It ain’t easy ridin’ them horses. It takes a lot of skill. And a lot of guts, too, I reckon. You need to keep practicing. You need to be careful.
