So, I’ve been messing around with this game called “Splatoon,” right? It’s a blast, but I wanted to spice things up a bit. I heard through the grapevine that there’s this whole world of modding out there, and I figured, why not give it a shot?

First off, I had to do some digging. I mean, I’m no tech wizard, but I’m not a total noob either. Turns out, there’s this whole community dedicated to modding Splatoon. Who knew? They’ve got all sorts of resources and stuff. I started by poking around these modding forums, just to get a feel for what’s possible. Reading about all these different mods, seeing what people were creating. Let me tell you, some of these folks are seriously talented.
Find Resources
I found some modding website, it seems really good. It’s like a goldmine of info about this Splatoon game. You can learn everything in there. It talked about characters and weapons. It also had music and art, and even some background stories.
Then, I stumbled upon something called “Recon mode.” It’s like a practice mode where you can just explore the game’s levels without any of the chaos of a real battle. No music, just you and the environment. Kinda zen, you know? I used this to get familiar with the maps before trying anything too crazy.
Updates and Tools
Now, the game itself has gone through a bunch of updates, fixing bugs and adding new features. These updates can mess with the mods, so I had to make sure I was up to date. But it seems like updates can make a better experience. Then there were these cheat codes and hacking tools like ASH-AIO, which is like a Swiss Army knife for Splatoon modding. Apparently, there’s some risk of getting flagged by Nintendo if you’re not careful. The tools help you tweak all sorts of things, like your stats and appearance. Not my style, but hey, to each their own.
Get Fancy with Voices
I even found this article about changing your voice in real-time while playing. Like, you can sound like a completely different person. Pretty wild stuff. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s on my list.

My First Mod
For my first mod, I decided to keep it simple. I found a mod that changes the colors of the ink. Nothing too crazy, just wanted to see if I could actually get it to work. After a bit of trial and error, I did it! Seeing my custom ink splattered all over the place was pretty satisfying.
Wrapping Up
So yeah, that’s my Splatoon modding adventure so far. It’s been a fun ride, and I’m definitely going to keep experimenting. There’s so much more to explore, and I’m excited to see what I can come up with next. And just maybe, I’ll get that voice changer thing working too.
It’s a whole new way to experience the game, and I’m all for it. Hope you found this little journey of mine interesting. Catch you on the flip side!
